THE STORY
In a sunny morning, a crab is trying to escape and save himself from a sink, inside this big, beautiful kitchen. Knowing that if he stays there, he'll only end up becoming human food. And so, he was determined to escape this place. He always carries within himself the desire to return to the sea, where he calls it home.
However, getting out of the sink is not easy. The sink is very slippery and every time he climbs up, he falls back down. His enthusiasm gradually fades, and then realize his loneliness when he sees his fellow kind around. It was so quiet, there's no one left who's brave enough to join him with the escape. Luckily, he found a piece of dish washing net clothes in the corner of the sink. It uses this piece of net to climb up and got out of the sink.
He feels so happy because he has passed the first obstacle but also sad when he saw his fellow kinds lying dead in the sink. Suddenly, an mysterious iron clamp appeared out of nowhere behind him, the little crab had to fight fiercely to protect his life. After the deadly fight, the crab flew out of the window, thinking he was back to the old life with sunlight and ocean waves.
But ironically, the crab falls into a boiling pot in the neigh- bour’s kitchen and became a part of a delicious crab pasta dish. The story brings a mes- sage of making effort and hope in our life, but also emphasizing that it's not always possible to control your fate.
INSPIRATION
Inspired by the movie Oktapodi.
The movie is about a survival battle with a chef. It is an funny intense escape through the streets of a small village in Greece.
