In the story, Dac ky was not an ordinary human but was possessed by a fox spirit (ho ly tinh) and was sent by Nu Ao to bewitch King Tru, causing him to become tyrannical and leading to the downfall of the Thuong Dynasty. She was described as a stunningly beautiful woman but extremely cruel, enjoying devising brutal tortures for amusement. In the end, when the Thuong Dynasty was destroyed, Dac ky was executed by King Vu of the Chu Dynasty
